The client, an art collector,wished for a place to entertain his guests during dinners while enjoying theartwork and store his ever-growing art collection. Based on this, Hadiprana Design came up with a gallery space located in an extension between the client's existing house and thegarage. HadipranaDesign aimed for a gallery that is distinct in shape without overshadowing the main house. HadipranaDesign developed a form inspired by a pitched roof attic, with a double-height window on the facade togive the owner and the guests a broad view of the garden-while the solid walls on the other three sidesprovide necessary environmental protection for the paintings in storage. The two-story building housesa dining area, kitchen, and storage on the first floor and full storage on the second floor. The dining areais located underneath a void, overlooking the double-height window and the entire gallery, withpaintings adorning the sides' walls. Meanwhile, the interiors are designed in a modern and eclectic style,fitting the aesthetic ofmost of the client's collection.
